children call for action

The Paint for the Planet exhibit, featuring a selection of paintings showcasing children’s fears and hopes for the planet, was on display at the United Nations Climate Change Conference COP 14, in Poznań, Poland from 1 to 12 December 2008.

The exhibit was launched in October 2008 at UN HQ in New York to mark the start of the United Nations campaign "UNite to Combat Climate Change". The event featured a selection of paintings from UNEP's International Children's Painting Competition that represent a powerful plea from children for leadership on climate change before it is too late.

Climate change is the key challenge of our time

Climate change affects everyone.  Its impacts are reaching beyond borders.

Addressing climate change is central to the work of the United Nations.  Yet everyone has a role to play in reducing the threat that climate change poses to peace, security and sustainable development.

UNEP is a partner in the ongoing UNite to Combat Climate Change campaign.  You can be too.
