The 26 paintings displayed in the Paint for the Planet exhibit will be at the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Poznań, Poland. The Conference will provide the opportunity to draw together the advances made in 2008 and move from discussion to negotiation mode in 2009. Paint for the Planet will bring the children’s visual message to hundreds of delegates from all over the world.
The exhibit was launched on 23 October in New York at the UN Headquarters. The original artwork, which was chosen from a collection of nearly 200,000 paintings, was exhibited for the very first time.
The Paint for the Planet exhibit was open to all. At the opening, several of the young prize-winning artists shared their message for the planet with decision makers, corporate leaders and the media.
