There was a press conference and media opening with UNEP Executive Director Achim Steiner at the launch of the Paint for the Planet exhibit on Thursday 23 October, from 12:30 to 2pm at the Main Lobby of the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
At the opening, there were opportunities for interviews with Achim Steiner as well as with several of the young artists, who were in New York to share their message. Media required accreditation to get into UN Headquarters: please visit www.un.org/media/accreditation
Media were also able to register to attend the auction on Saturday 25 October at 7pm at the Harvard Club of New York. Leaders and personalities from the world of business, government and the arts were invited to the event.
