 The PCFV, together with the Centro Mario Molina Center Chile, launched the UNEP Clean Fleet Management Approach in Latin America and the Caribbean with the first Clean Fleet Management Training in the region on 24-25th September 2009 in Santiago, Chile. Twenty one fleet managers participated, both public and private from 7 countries in the region (Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Jamaica, Uruguay). The participants were trained on how to evaluate the emissions from their fleets and put in place strategies and technologies to reduce both CO2 and non-CO2 emissions, using the UNEP Clean Fleet Toolkit, which is now available online in both English and Spanish. The UNEP Clearing House of the PCFV will follow up with the countries that participated on their clean and efficient fleet strategies.
