    The global partnership between UNDP and UNEP to scale-up support for mainstreaming environment in national development processes was formally announced at the occasion of the ‘Environment or the MDGs-event’ organised by the Poverty and Environment Partnership (PEP) during the World Summit in September 2005.

Poverty Reduction Strategy Papers (PRSPs)

  • PRSP-Watch
    This site provides basic information on the compilation and implementation of the Poverty Reduction Strategy Papers. At present, 55 country profiles (from Albania to Zambia) are available that contain the contents of the (preliminary or final) PRSP and civil society's involvement in the PRS process. English abstracts of all country profiles are soon available.
Millennium Development Goals

  • Millennium Project
    In support of the Millennium Development Goals, the Millennium Project was commissioned by UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan to recommend the best strategies for achieving the MDGs.

    The United Nations Development Group (UNDG) is an instrument for UN reform, created to improve the effectiveness of UN development at the country level. Its initiatives increase UN impact in helping countries achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), including poverty reduction.
