With nearly 30 years
of experience, the Regional Seas Programme provides an operational
platform on which to construct regional sustainable development,
using the deliberations and results of WSSD as blueprint.
Practically, it provides regional platforms for both implementation
of the principles of sustainable development and for regional
implementation of programmes and activities related to global
conventions and Multilateral Environmental Agreements (MEAs).
