Action Plan for Managing the Environment of the Pacific islands Region: 2001-2004

SPREP Members: (26) Australia, Cook Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, France, French Polynesia, Guam, Kiribati, Republic of the Marshall Islands, Nauru, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Niue, Northern Marianas, Palua, Papua New Guinea, Pitcairn, Samoa and American Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu, United States of America, Vanuatu, Wallis and Futana (SPREP 2000).

The Action Plan is revised every four years. The revision adopted in 2000 defines four main programme areas: nature conservation; pollution prevention; climate change and variability; and economic development (UNEP 2001).
