On Sunday the Pre-Conference Informal Consultations led by Brazil continued, considering Oceans, an Institutional Framework for Sustainable Development (IFSD), Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), and the Means of Implementation (MOI). Green Economy discussions, and Sections I and II continued in the afternoon. Throughout the day, negotiating group facilitators asked delegates who wanted changes in the text to develop alternatives.
Seventeen UNEP related side events took place on the following topics;
At the UNEP Pavilion, Eye On Earth: Eye On Global Network Of Networks, Transition To Sustainability: the Inclusive Wealth Report, The Economics Of Ecosystems And Biodiversity (TEEB): From Analysis To Action, Secure Food Systems, Drivers For A Sustainable Tomorrow, and a Siemens Event On Affordable Healthcare all took place.
The UNEP, Lord Culture and AXA Sustainable Alternative Reality Game 'Forward+50 Rio - The Game that can help Change the World' was highlighted. The World Congress On Justice, Governance And Law For Environmental Sustainability, a four day event, also began at the UNEP Pavilion.
At the EU Pavilion the 'Partnering For Green Growth - Asia Is Doing It' side-event focused on SWITCH Asia Sustainable Consumption and Production Projects. At the Windsor Barra Hotel, the day long UNEPFI 'Inspire Invest Innovate' series took place, with events on
'The Business Case For The Green Economy', 'Getting From A To B - Financing The Green Economy', 'The Path To Resource Efficient Cities: Innovation In Action', 'From 1992 To 2012-20 Years Of Mainstreaming In The Financial Sector, and a 'UNEP FI 20 Years Celebration - Special Focus On Latin America'.
At RioCentro, the UN Group On Information Society (UNGIS) – ICTs: The Foundation Of Our Sustainable Future, and at Banco De Caxia, 'Nutrients: For Food or Pollution? The Choice is Ours!' took place, and at the Sheraton Rio Hotel and Resort, the UNEP-Bright Moon Joint Event: Get Together In Rio-Summit On Green Economy And Sustainable Development, concluded succesfully.
