	Africa got ready for the 12th Conference of Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC)
	The Africa Climate Change Group of Negotiators organised a preparatory meeting for COP12 for the negotiators. The meeting took place in Naivasha, Kenya from 4-6 September 2006. The meeting aimed at ensuring that the African negotiators were well prepared for negotiations during COP12 as well as facilitate that the outcomes of COP12 would have as far-reaching benefits as possible. This preparatory meeting provided a forum for developing the negotiation positions on key issues by the Africa Group.
