In Uganda, 70% of MB is being utilized in soil sterilization for flower cultivation, comprising of Roses, gerbera foliage, tropical flowers and chrysanthemum plant cuttings covering an area of about 140 hectares. A total of 22 flower firms are presently engaged in this industry

10% of Uganda's MB is used for fumigation in large storage facilities (for stored commodities such as maize, coffee, rice, beans, groundnuts, hides and skins, horntips)

20% of Uganda's MB is used for treatment of fish maws.
