Non-governmental organisations (NGOs) or agricultural organisations, which have strong links to methyl bromide users and the ability to conduct outreach to these users effectivel, have been instrumental in raising awareness among methyl bromide users in Africa about the methyl bromide phase out, the availability of alternatives and actions that can be taken to phase it out.
