About the thirteenth session of AMCEN

The theme for the thirteenth session of AMCEN is “Enhancing the interrelationship between climate change, biodiversity and desertification for sustainable development”. The main objective of the thirteenth session was to provide a platform for environment ministers to deliberate on substantive issues of importance to Africa which must be addressed in the context of desertification, as well as the ongoing negotiations on climate change and biodiversity.
