Area(s) of Expertise: Ananda Dias is the Regional Coordinator for Asia and the Pacific of UNEP's Early-Warning and Assessment Programme.  He has served UNEP over 22 years performing numerous functions ranging from UNEP-wide programme coordination to assessment and early-warning project implementation. Prior to joining UNEP he worked at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) based in Bangkok, Thailand for 8 years overseeing the ICT project services provided by AIT to national Governments and regional organizations, supporting large scale government computerization programmes. He began his career with the private sector in Sri Lanka. He is Sri Lankan national and his academic background includes Bachelors degree in Mathematics and Physics and Masters Degree in Computer Science.
