Area(s) of Expertise: Mrs. Solène Le Doze-Turvill joined UNEP in 2009, first based in Nairobi, and relocated to Bangkok in 2012. She supports the development, implementation and evaluation of the operationalisation of IPBES, for which UNEP hosts the temporary secretariat, in cooperation with UNESCO, FAO and UNDP, with a particular focus on stakeholder engagement and communications. She also represents UNEP DEPI’s Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services in the Asia Pacific Region. Before joining UNEP, she worked for the UK Government on the implementation of their timber procurement and recycling policies. She also worked for the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where she managed the scientific and environmental cooperation with Indonesia. She also has experience in development projects dealing with tropical biodiversity, in Zimbabwe and Guadeloupe. Solène holds a Masters in Environmental and Natural Resources Economics, a BSC in Agronomy and a Degree in Biology.
