UNEP and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) are working in partnership to pilot a Climate Technology Network and Finance Center to accelerate the adoption and deployment of climate technologies and investments in environmentally sound technologies in 16 countries in Asia and the Pacific. The project is undertaken with co-funding from the Global Environment Facility, the governments of Japan and Republic of Korea, and VITO-Flemish Institute for Technological Research NV. The climate technology finance centre is managed by ADB in Manila, Philippines, and the climate technology network secretariat is managed by UNEP in Bangkok, Thailand.

UNEP will implement and manage a technical assistance component focusing on capacity readiness and enabling conditions for market transformation in the region through knowledge sharing, public-private partnerships, and the development of institutional capacity and climate technology policies.
