The UNEP TUNZA Central Asia Youth Environment Network (TUNZA-CAYEN) was established in 2006. The Ecological Movement “BIOM”, located in Bishkek, Kyrgyz republic, hosts the Secretariat for CAYEN, which has membership from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan. An organization in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan has been identified as the National Focal Point for the network. The number of CAYEN members in each country ranges from 30 to 180 with over 600 youth organizations and individuals in the region associated with CAYEN. National Focal Points facilitate CAYEN activities in their respective countries.
