Addressing Health and Environment Linkages

UNEP is actively engaged in the European Environment and Health Ministerial process (EEHP) and associated activities to protect the health and well-being of people and the planet from environmental hazards linked to: water and sanitation; accidents and injuries; outdoor and indoor air pollution; and exposure to hazardous chemicals, physical and biological agents.

UNEP has strengthen its partnership and role in the work of the European Environment and Health Ministerial Board (EEHB), and contributes to the discussions and deliberations of the reconstituted European Environment and Health Task Force (EHTF) by ensuring UNEP’s visibility in the implementation and monitoring of the environment and health commitments made within the EEHP.
