Civil society participants from the US and Canada gathered on 2 November 2007 for the second and final day of the North American Civil Society Consultation in Washington, DC. The consultation was organized by the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) in the lead up to the 2008 UNEP Global Ministerial Environment Forum (GMEF) in February 2008. Participants discussed proposed changes for the Global Civil Society Forum Steering Committee and the UNEP Medium Term Strategy, and selected representatives from the region to the Global Civil Society Forum and GMEF.  More>>
