The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is pleased to announce its annual North American Civil Society Consultation which will be held in Washington D.C. on the 1st and 2nd of November 2007.
The meeting is one of six regional consultations organized by UNEP to prepare for the Ninth Global Civil Society Forum and the Tenth Special Session of the UNEP Governing Council/Global Ministerial Environment Forum, both of which will take place at the end of February 2008 in the Principality of Monaco.
The consultation is an opportunity for civil society representatives from North America to consider and provide input on key issues to be addressed by the upcoming UNEP Governing Council/Global Ministerial Environment Forum, including Globalization and the Environment: Mobilizing Finance to meet the Climate Challenge and UNEP's medium term strategy.
