The Energy & GHG TAC was established to support the work of the Sustainable BuildingsSteeringCommittee on energy and GHG emissions from buildings. Drawing on previous work completed by the UNEP-SBCI in collaboration with the World Resources Institute, the TAC has concentrated most of its efforts of leading development of the Common Carbon Metric (CCM).

The CCM will establish baselines; enable measurable, reportable and verifiable (MRV) reporting; and, help unlock the potential for significant reduction in GHG emissions in the building sector.
