Collaborations

UNEP-SBCI establishes collaborations with organizations and networks which share the goals and objectives of the Initiative. These collaborations take the form of joint research activities or joint projects in a specific field or geographical area. UNEP-SBCI also provides direct input to other initiatives, governments, and global bodies making recommendations and decisions affecting sustainable development in this sector.

American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE)

ASHRAE works with UNEP-SBCI on addressing energy performance issues

Building & Construction Authority (BCA), Singapore

BCA works with UNEP-SBCI to further awareness of sustainable buildings in the Asia-Pacific region

Global Energy Assessment (GEA)

UNEP-SBCI contributes to Module 10 on modeling energy scenarios for the building sector with the Central European University.

Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) ITESM works with UNEP-SBCI to further awareness of sustainable buildings in the Latin-American and Caribbean region

UNEP Eco-Tourism

UNEP Eco-Tourism is building a toolkit for the hotel industry including a GHG emission calculator. UNEP-SBCI will participate in this toolkit, and UNEP Eco-Tourism will participate in the CCM piloting.
