The Global Sports Alliance and UNEP signed a Memorandum of Understanding in 2000 to promote environmental awareness among athletes and sport fans globally.

Torino 2006

The Torino Organizing Committee (TOROC) and UNEP have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to promote environmental considerations in the preparations of the 2006 Games.

Organising Committee for the Olympic Games

The Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) is the governing body of Grand Prix motorcycle racing. It represents 90 national motorcycle federations that are divided into six regional continental unions

Jordan Environment Society (JES) is concerned with protecting the environment and preserving its basic elements of water, air, soil and living beings.

Mathare Youth Sports Association

Mathare Youth Sports Association , formed in 1987,is the largest self-help youth sports and community service organization in Africa.

PROJECT FOOTPRINTS

The Project FOOTPRINTS is an environmental and educational project and its main objective is to achieve a turning point of attitude towards oneself and the surroundings.

Expeditions


   

The Tara Expedition will set sail in September 2006 on a 2-year expedition to the heart of the Arctic Ocean to study and understand climate change phenomena at high latitudes.

The Tangaroa Expedition is a crew of six that is building and sailing a balsa-raft from Callao to the Polynesia, just like Thor Heyerdahl did in 1947.

The Pepy Ride - "Protect the Earth. Protect Yourself."
is an education through action program, bringing environmental and health issues right to the most rural areas of Cambodia.
