Background
The
Global Forum for Sports & the Environment, G-ForSE, is
an international event for sports stakeholders to discuss
their impact and contributions to the environment.
The
forum was first held in Tokyo, Japan in November 2001 and
later in 2003. It brought together participants from sports
organizations and associations, the sporting goods industry,
sport facility managers and NGOs.

Organizers
The
Forum is organized by the United Nations
Environment Programme (UNEP), the Global Sports Alliance (GSA),
and the Pakistan-based Irfan Group of Companies.
