Technical Training for Ranking and Prioritization of Adaptation Options
Dar es Salaam,Tanzania - 22 - 25 October 2005.

The workshop was organized by UNEP to provide further capacity building and technical support to the Least Developed Countries (LDCs) who are preparing their National Adaptation Programs of Action (NAPAs) under the auspices of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The non-governmental organization based in Senegal, ENDA-Tiers Monde, was delivered the technical training to the participants in both English and French.

The four day meeting began with a pre-briefing for those countries who have just recently begun their work and required more background information. The following three days consisted of a series or presentations and working groups assisted by the facilitators and presentations by the countries on their own work.

The meeting was attended by thirteen countries and approximately thirty participants from Afghanistan, Botswana, Comoros, The Gambia, Haiti, Lesotho, Liberia, Mauritania, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, Malawi, Mozambique.
