Gulf Countries work towards a Low Sulphur road map The Gulf countries within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), will in early June 2008, move closer towards implementing their fuel strategy plan for region, if the suggested Gulf Standard Organization "GSO" a road map, circulated around the Standards Bodies and respected Authorities within the GCC, is endorsed at a key meeting of one of the GSO committees. TNT Turkey Fleet Reduces CO2 Emissions, Cuts Costs while expanding fleet Following a UNEP training session in 2006, TNT Turkey fleet managers used the UNEP/TNT Cleaner Fleet toolkit to design a fleet-wide strategy to lower both pollutant and CO2 emissions while cutting costs and expanding the fleet. Beginning in November 2006, TNT Turkey set a goal of cutting CO2 emissions by 6% by 2011.
