Paraguay, Air Quality Study and Vehicle Standards

UNEP/PCFV partnered with Petrobras and the Centro Mario Molina Centre Chile (CMMCh) in 2010 to study the impact of vehicle pollution on air quality in Asuncion, Paraguay.

The results of this study were presented in a press conference in December 2010
Paraguay is currently one of the few countries in Latin America with no air quality or vehicle emissions standards. However, the Congress is now working on a law that limits the age for second hand car importations to 2005.
