A few months ago Millicent expressed her concern about our
government's stance on nuclear energy and decided to write a letter
to our Prime Minister.
She included in her letter her participation in the UN
environmental conferences and the work she has been doing in
preserving the environment.
Surprisingly, Mr John Howard, Australia's Prime Minister read the
letter and actually took the time in his amazingly busy schedule to
respond to Millicent.
This is a great example that kids do get heard by our leaders.
Perhaps it may inspire other children to go straight to the top about
their environmental issues.
