INTRO POSTER

This poster series features the work of children from around the world who entered the 15th UNEP Children’s Painting Competition on the Environment.  Their pictures reflect a view of the world coloured by their hopes and fears for the global environment. 

The annual competition is organized by UNEP in collaboration with the Japan-based Foundation for Global Peace and German chemical and healthcare company, Bayer AG, the German chemical and healthcare company.

The global winners of the 2006 UNEP Children’s Painting Competition, on the theme of ‘Desert and Desertification ’, were announced at a special ceremony on World Environment Day ceremony held in Algiers , Algeria.

The 2007 competition will feature paintings on Climate change, the theme of World Environment Day 2007.
