At the 2006 New York City Youth Congress at Pace University, I had the honor to serve as Environmental Committee Leader, and I am responsible for passing the first environmental resolution in the history of the Congress; the resolution calls for the complete utilization of ecologically friendly light bulbs and technologies by New York City within a period of 4 years, including light bulbs that do not emit carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.

I have worked with the NYC Council to put this into law, and we have created Introduction 563, which calls for NYC to eliminate all unecological and pollution-causing technologies in the public sector. This measure, through my leadership and hard work, is a positive step in the direction of creating a more healthy environment through using sustainable means of development.
