Koli Margaret from Kenya was elected to the Tunza Youth Advisory Council of UNEP on 30 August 2007.
She is a member of the Youth Environment Network-Kenya with whom she helps to organize youth workshops to create environmental awareness. As such, she has helped to create a strong youth network of young environmentalists in Nairobi.
She helped in organizing the Conference of Youth in preparation for the 2007 United Nations Framework Convention on Climate change. In November 2006 she was the Bayer Young Environmental Envoy from Kenya. She has also worked in other international youth initiatives such as Solar Generation, an initiative of Greenpeace International.
She wants to be involved in engaging other young people in the protection of the environment through information exchange not only in Africa but all over the world.

Koli Margaret was born on 28 May 1987. She likes reading, camping and making new friends.
