Caitlin MacLeod, from Canada, was elected to the Tunza Youth Advisory
Council of UNEP on 30 August 2007.
Caitlin is a member of the Quebec Public Interest Research Group (QPIRG), an organization focusing on social and environmental justice issues with which she works as coordinator of the Campus Climate Challenge (CCC) in Montreal. The CCC works with other student groups and community stakeholders with the objectives of decreasing Greenhouse Gas Emissions, and increasing climate literacy on campus.
Caitlin is also involved with the Sierra Youth Coalition, a national network engaging youth in working toward sustainability.
Caitlin was born on 18 January 1986. She studies International Relations at McGill University and is interested in International Environmental Law and Policy. She is dedicated to advocating for diversity in representation in climate change negotiations and environmental justice. She loves reading, playing guitar, cycling and cross-country skiing.
