M. Ihsan Kaadan from Aleppo, Syria was born on 1 November 1988. Ihsan is a final year medical student at the University of Aleppo.
As a medical student, Ihsan kept studying about the impacts of different types of environmental pollution on human bodies like; Air, Water, Noise, Radioactive, Thermal pollution. In addition, he is trying with other interested youth around the world to find solutions to reduce pollution harmful.
Ihsan is joining with some national NGOs who are dedicated to protect environment and develop people's knowledge. He is also working in his own initiative to create international network to be involved in engaging other young people in the protection of the environment through information exchange not only in Syria but all over the world.
Ihsan has participated in many medical and other youth events around the world to express his concerns related to environmental issues. He was workshop presenter "One Hand against Environmental Pollution and Climate Change" in 5th World Youth Congress, Turkey, 2010. One of his papers "Environmental Pollution" was published in Turkish Journal of Public Health after his contributing in World Congress on Public Health, Turkey, 2009.
M. Ihsan Kaadan was elected to the Tunza Youth Advisory Council of UNEP for West Asia on 29 September 2011. His advisory role will support him in his commitment to find healthy environment for future generation.
Ihsan believes that the future is not all doom and gloom. Humans are very inventive and intelligent. If we understand that our environment is fragile, then we can all help to save it.
