lets plant tress in dagoretti Our group consists of 30 members and am the vice chairman, i have been trying to start a campaign on "GREEN FENCING AND SLUM FORESTS" my idea is to talk to land owners, schools, gorvernment and NGO'S and start planting trees around there land because most of the trees in slums are being cut down, people are replacing the trees with tall buildings causing environment threat also am thinking of how our group can partner with other NGO's to buy lands in future and plant trees to start up a"SLUM BEAUTIFICATION PROGRAM" the group members are willing to do anything for the environment and it will be a grate favor if you support us. Nurture Nature for the Future. In January 2011, I found myself amidst a gathering of some of the most brilliant minds across the globe at the World Economic Forum where I was the youngest participant ever to attend it. As a 17 year old I had the opportunity to share my ideas and well as learn a lot about the current affairs around the world and how we as socially responsible citizens can contribute. Climate Change and Sustainable Development were among the most debated topics at the Forum and had experts from all walks contribute. As a visual artist and activist I had the opportunity to lead sessions like art and the natural world- how artists can inspire action amongst others. Being a Global Change maker by the British Council I am also one of the Founders of the Cultural and Environmental Creative Expression Contest(CECEC) which is a unique youth initiative that brings together youth from around the world to spr

Funding Hi Sibiro, In the TUNZA programme, there is usually some limited funds for youth projects. However, since UNEP is not rightly a financing institution, the best we can do is usually assist in raising funds. Kind Regards Submitted By: Kevin

Discussion and partnership with UNEP Good evening sir, I am the president of New Area Development Partnership of Central's former name NEPAD Central Association whose priority is the fight against climate change. Thus, this advisory board is very important for us young people of Africa and the world of decision making and especially policy makers are much more realistic for my future so that we move to concrete actions for generations of future. On our structure, we well take action to fight against climate change. But in spite of our actions on the national level the issue has not yet become a priority but that the year 2011. But since 2008 that we carry out our own support. That is why we love comes into direct contact with UNEP and other structure of the youths in the world for technical and financial support.
