Forests

Key Facts          Challenges        Make A Difference

There are so many people who unfortunately know almost nothing about forests besides the fact that it provides timber. We can only change this situation by providing information about the importance of forests and the consequences of forest destruction.

Forests are economically beneficial and at the same time a source of supply for some of the basic human needs. The lack of development in some part, of the world has led to misuse of forest products. Population pressure has increased the demands for new farmlands, settlements and constructions, bringing the forest under more attack. Over consumption of forest products has also increased the demand for the forest products.

Forest Functions
