4. Below is the list of exhibit facilities that will be available from the UN Office at Nairobi (UNON) for the exhibits.
Kindly indicate the items you need by listing the quantity you require in the corresponding box:

Guidelines

  • All exhibit requests are subject to review for thematic relevance, regional, sectoral and gender representation, visual interests and other logistical and safety considerations by UNEP.
  • As this is the first session of the UN Environment Assembly, we encourage all exhibitors to add elements of dynamism, interactivity and innovation in their exhibit designs. Please bear this in mind when conceptualizing your exhibits.
  • Any use of United Nations premises must be in keeping with the dignity of the Organization. Meetings, conferences, special events and exhibits must be consistent with the purposes and principles of the United Nations and must be non-commercial in nature. Goods or services may not be advertised or sold on United Nations premises and the promotion of any commercial entity is not permitted, unless specifically authorized.
  • There is free Wi-Fi on the compound and standard electricity requirements will be provided for at no charge.
  • Any other exhibit facility that is not on the list above, including desktop or laptop computers, printers, TV screens/video monitors, speakers/sound system, mounting brackets for screens, special lighting requirements, special energy requirements for demonstrations, etc., will be sourced directly by the exhibitors from UNON Conference Services or external providers. For reference, here are UNON rental rates for the available equipment:
    * PCs with 19" monitor - $35/day
    * Printer - $30/day
    * 42" monitor - $75/day
    * 55" monitor - $150/day
  • The schedule for exhibits is as follows; kindly note all deadlines.
    • 5 May - Deadline for submission of exhibit applications, including list of exhibit requirements and the Mandatory Disclaimer (see below).
    • 18 June - Submission of list of individuals requiring entry to the UN compound for exhibit set up, list and description of any large equipment that may be brought in as part of the exhibit, and vehicle registration number to david.koch@unep.org.
    • 21 June - Exhibition installation starts. Booth operators should bring their exhibit materials starting at 0830hrs to the following physical address:
      United Nations Office at Nairobi, United Nations Avenue, Gigiri. Click here to view a map of the location.
    • 22 June - All booth set up must be completed by 1600 hours
    • 23 -27 June - Exhibits must be staffed at all exhibit hours from 0900-1700 to maximize interaction opportunities with the delegates.
    • 26 June - Submission of list of individuals requiring entry to the UN compound for exhibit dismantling, list and description of any large equipment that will be brought out, and vehicle registration number to david.koch@unep.org.
    • 28 June - Exhibition dismantling will be from 0830 to 1400.
