Activities
at Madang Town
Madang town is one of the many tourist hot spots in Papua New Guinea.
A lot of tourists from all over the world come here either on cruise
ships or aeroplanes. One of the ideas for next year's World Environment
Day event is to discourage the use of plastic shopping bags and ice-blocks
that are frozen in plastic tubes and sold at marketplaces. The town
is littered with plastic bags and because it is right on the sea,
a lot of plastic ends up in the ocean.
