World Environment Day 2007 Celebrations
Tromsø, Norway
4 June 2007 - The Global Outlook for Ice and Snow was launched today at the Polar Environment Center in Tromsø as part of the WED celebrations in Norway and in support of the International Polar Year. Present at the launch were UNEP Executive Director Achim Steiner, Dr. Pål Prestrud, CICERO, who is the editor of the report, as well as the Norwegian Minister of the Environment, Helen Bjørnøy, and the Norwegian Minister of International Development, Erik Solheim. |
