LG encourages to “Consume With Care” on World Environment Day
To commemorate its sixth year of support for the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), LG Electronics (LG) marked the occasion of World Environment Day by screening the organization’s WED video on its outdoor LED displays in Times Square in New York City, which will continue throughout the month of June.

Yaya Touré, the star footballer (or soccer player to my fellow Americans), joined the offical World Environment Day celebrations at the Expo Milano in Italy today. Touré is named a goodwill ambassador of the event, for using his celebrity to bring attention to the day, which is organized by the United Nations Environment Programme.

Milan, 4 June 2015 - As the financial and environmental costs of resource depletion begin to affect economic growth worldwide, countries need to find ways to manage finite resources while meeting the needs of a growing and increasingly urban world population. By integrating sustainable consumption and production (SCP) patterns into national development planning and implementation, policy makers can make it easier and cheaper to produce goods and services more efficiently, with lower risks to humankind and the environment.
