She is the Vice Prime Minister in Gabon and Minister in charge of the Environment, Nature Pprotection, Research and Technologies. Born on 16 March 1953. Studied geography and got her Masters degree in Coastal management in 1987. Started a professional career with the Department of the Environment as a Chargé d’Etudes at the National antipollution Center. Appointed Director of the Environment in August 1995, adviser of the general manager of the Environment in 2002, adviser of the Minister for the Environment and national focal point for Climatic Change in 2004. Considered a great icon of the environmental in Gabon, Mrs. Koko, though very discrete and little known, is very active in the environmental networking. In fact, Mrs. Koko arrives at the government at one key moment of the engagement of Gabon in its’ environmental policy. The existence of an orientation law on the environment and the ratification of several international agreements and treaties are worth today an excellent positioning in the international dialogue on the environment. She will have to consolidating this asset.
