Pre-COP18

In preparation for the 7th Land-Based Sources and Activities (LBS), 13th Specially Protected Areas and Wildlife (SPAW), and 18th Conference of Parties to the Convention (COP) meetings, 13–16 October 2025, in Kingston, Jamaica, the Contracting Parties to the Specially Protected Areas and Wildlife and Land-Based Sources and Activities Protocols, at the 11th SPAW STAC and 7th LBS STAC, requested the Secretariat to convene a virtual Pre-COP to review and revise the Sargassum Action Plan and RAC/RAN Guidelines for consideration at the COP's.
