The Cartagena Convention Secretariat is pleased to invite you to a WEBINAR entitled Regional Seas Programmes and the post 2020 Global Biodiversity Framework on 1st October 2020 at 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. Jamaica time / 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Eastern Caribbean.

The webinar is organized by UNEP in collaboration with the European Commission and the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity, within the framework of the UNEP/European Commission project: Regional Seas Programmes under the post 2020 Global Biodiversity Framework.

The webinar aims to raise awareness of Regional Seas Programmes and their possible role for the post 2020 Global Biodiversity Framework.  As you know, the Caribbean Environment Programme, established in 1981, is one of the UNEP-administered Regional Seas Programmes and as such we highly encourage you to participate actively in this webinar.

CEP was established in 1981 as part of the Regional Seas Programme in recognition of the importance and value of the Wider Caribbean Region’s fragile and vulnerable coastal and marine ecosystems including endemic plants and animals.
