The GEF Circular Cities Beyond Plastics Project Steering Committee meeting scheduled for 18-19 May 2026 in Panama City,
Panama aims to review 2025 project progress, examine the Mid-Term Evaluation findings, and review and discuss updated work plans and budgets to guide project implementation. It is needed to ensure strategic alignment across countries, address emerging challenges, and refine targets where necessary. Expected outcomes include a shared understanding of project performance, agreement on MTE follow-up actions, presentation of 2026–2027 work plans, and clear next steps for all partners.

The Circular Cities Project being implemented in 6 cities in three countries: Colombia, Jamaica and Panama is being executed by the UNEP Cartagena Convention Secretariat.
