The CAR-WEN Initiative: Advancing Wildlife Enforcement in the Wider Caribbean

Join us for an orientation webinar introducing the Caribbean Wildlife Enforcement Network (CAR-WEN) Working Group, a regional initiative dedicated to strengthening cooperation to combat wildlife crime across the Wider Caribbean.

The session will provide an overview of CAR-WEN, its current activities, and ongoing efforts to formalise a regional wildlife enforcement network. It will also explore the importance of regional cooperation in protecting biodiversity, natural resources, protected areas, wildlife, and communities, while highlighting key wildlife crime challenges in the Caribbean and opportunities for regional engagement, partnership, and collaboration as the network continues to grow.
 

The webinar will also discuss how CAR-WEN can support implementation of the SPAW Protocol and broader efforts to protect specially protected areas and wildlife in the Wider Caribbean.
