As the year 2021 comes to a close, let us reflect not only on the challenges that confronted us during this past year, but let us also celebrate the opportunities and partnerships that have allowed us to achieve successful outcomes.
As we look forward to 2022 and beyond, the Secretariat remains committed to its mandate to conserve biodiversity, enhance coastal and marine protection, reduce marine pollution and promote environmental awareness and capacity building. The protection of our Caribbean Sea is crucial to our survival and shared prosperity and as such, we acknowledge the collaborative efforts of our Contracting Parties and partners during this past year in making our work a success.
