The first session of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee to develop an international legally binding instrument on plastic pollution, including in the marine environment (INC-1), took place from 28 November to 2 December 2022 at the Punta del Este Convention and Exhibition Centre in Punta del Este, Uruguay .
