Background: UNEP’s Executive Director, Inger Andersen, and the Tide Turners Plastic Challenge champions will gather at an interactive online discussion on plastic pollution. This conversation will serve to inspire action to reduce plastic pollution across regions and build up to the discussions around the resumed session of the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA-5). Young environmental advocates will also share experiences and solutions on how to tackle major environmental challenges in their local communities.
The event is developed in collaboration with senior representatives from the World Organization Scout Movement, World Association of Girls Guides and Girl Scouts, Junior Achievement Africa. as well as WWF India, and the Centre for Environment Education (CEE).
