The Seed Capital Assistance Facility (SCAF)

UNEP manages the Seed Capital Assistance Facility, a multi-donor trust fund designed to support private sector investment and development companies working in high-risk frontier markets in Africa and Asia. It shares project development costs and seed financing with private equity funds, venture capital funds, and project development companies to make finance available during the development phase of projects promoting climate-friendly technologies.
