Annual Conference of the GEF-funded Critical Forests Integrated Programmes—Africa’s first South-South regional forum dedicated to advancing sustainable forest management and biodiversity conservation in the Congo Basin and Guinean Forests

This landmark event brings together governments, communities, and conservation leaders to showcase progress from GEF-7, launch new GEF-8 initiatives, and strengthen collaboration across Central and West Africa. With keynote speakers from UNEP, the African Union, Conservation International, and more, the conference will feature field visits, expert panels, and strategic planning for future conservation under GEF-9.
