The current COVID-19 pandemic is rapidly spreading, thus intensifying its impact upon the world’s healthcare systems and economy. During this time, ensuring reliable and safe municipal solid waste management services provision is a must for all local governments to protect public health and contain the spread of the virus.

UN-Habitat (Waste Wise Cities Campaign) and the Wuppertal Institute are organizing this series of webinars, under the Urban Pathways Project, to support local governments and work together in combatting COVID-19.

Keith Alverson, the Director of IETC will speak in the session "Waste management during the COVID-19 pandemic – Medical and special wastes" on the 7th May 2020.

The webinars will last 1 hour 30 minutes; please find the registration link Here.
