Manoj manages and provides technical support to implement GEF Climate Change Mitigation projects in the Asia Pacific region in the areas of energy efficiency, renewable energy, electric mobility, green housing, sustainable cities, net-zero decarbonization and climate transparency.
Manoj has more than 17 years in the sustainable development domain, as well as in carbon finance and management of risk sharing facilities for climate financing.
Prior to joining UNEP, he worked in this sector with UNDP, national development banks and state-run ESCOs. His consulting work experience involves development of GEF climate mitigation projects, feasibility studies for renewable energy projects and UNFCCC CDM projects across South East Asia, South Asia and Africa.
Manoj has a Bachelor's in Energy & Environmental Engineering and a Master’s in Energy Engineering. He is also a Certified Energy Auditor and a Certified Measurement and Verification Professional.
